 Gordon
Stanford is native of Longview,
Texas, a son of the East Cotton St. Church of Christ, and was baptized
by Brother Ben Foster. He attended and graduated from the Longview
Independent School District. Gordon has always been active in church and
its ministries, and upon coming to Tyler, immediately identified himself
with the Lord’s Church. He is employed by the city of Tyler, more
specifically, the Tyler Police Department, where he works as a
“motorcycle cop.”
Gordon is a goal-oriented person who easily identifies a dream and
aggressively goes after it. He has worked successfully in the fields of
marketing, business-building and other areas. He enjoys music, sports,
traveling and technology, and is a master of the barbeque grill!
Brother Stanford is the “voice at the bottom” in “The Sons of Praise,”
but is also gifted singing all parts of music. Gordon and his wife,
Remona are the parents of one son He is one of our High School College
teachers and is the director of the entire CareGroup Ministry. His work
as a deacon will find him even busier in the areas of Security,
Development, Youth, Music and Project Transform. |
